The visit is the care

I cook in your kitchen, and I'm a doula while I'm there.

With a new baby in the house, I come to you. I cook while your baby naps or nurses, answer the questions that are keeping you up, tidy the kitchen, and leave a hot plate in your hands before I go. The food matters, and so does the time someone steady spends in your home. Food is postpartum care. Nourishment is support. Both arrive together.

Questions, answered plainly

What does a postpartum visit look like?

Every family is different, but a typical visit may include preparing one or two nourishing meals, stocking the freezer with postpartum-friendly foods, light kitchen cleanup, newborn care support, or simply offering a calm, experienced presence while you rest. There is no expectation to entertain me. My role is to care for you, so you can focus on caring for your baby.

Do I need to be up, dressed, or hosting?

No. Stay in bed, stay in pajamas, feed your baby. The whole point is that someone steady is in your kitchen and you don't have to think about it.

Do you work with dietary restrictions?

Absolutely. Every menu is customized to your household's needs: gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, plant-based, low-FODMAP, and more. One honest note: my own kitchen is not an allergen-free facility, so if anyone in your household has a severe allergy, tell me at the consultation and we'll talk through exactly how I'd handle it.

When should we book?

Most families book in the second or third trimester so their dates are held before baby arrives. If your baby is already here, reach out anyway: I'll do my best to make room.
