Personal Chef & Meal Prep · Portland, OR

Come home to a full refrigerator and a week of dinners already handled.

Life is full. Groceries pile up, meal planning falls to the bottom of the list, and dinner becomes a problem to solve at 6pm. Weekly meal preparation takes that entirely off your plate: I plan the menu around your household, shop seasonal and local, cook everything fresh in my kitchen, and deliver it in reusable glass containers. You open the refrigerator to a week of real meals. If you'd rather I cook in your home, that is available too, and we talk it through at the consultation.

Three sizes of week

The only real question is how much food your household actually goes through. Pick the tier that matches your week, and you always know the two numbers: the weekly rate, and the grocery receipt.

Groceries are billed separately at cost, with receipts provided. Which tier fits is settled in the free consultation, before anything is booked.

New weekly clients begin with a 2-week minimum, so there is time to get your portions and preferences right, and a $100 deposit reserves your place on the schedule. How booking works

Questions, answered plainly

Do you cook in my kitchen or yours?

Both are possible, and the standard service is mine. Cooking in my kitchen keeps the workflow efficient, the scheduling flexible, and the overall cost lower, and your food arrives fresh in reusable glass containers. In-home cooking is available for families with newborns, severe food allergies, specialized dietary needs, or anyone who wants a more hands-on household chef arrangement. We settle which one fits at the consultation.

How much does a personal chef in Portland cost?

Weekly meal preparation runs from $325 to $450 a week, depending on how much food your household needs, with groceries billed separately at cost (receipts provided). Essentials is 3 dinners, a salad, and 2 breakfasts. Signature, where most households land, is 4 dinners with sides and 8 prepared lunches. Expanded is 5 dinners with sides and 10 prepared lunches. Specialty dietary needs are priced individually in your consultation.

Do you shop for the groceries?

Yes, shopping is included every week. I source from Portland farmers markets and local purveyors whenever possible, prioritizing organic and seasonal produce.

Do you cook around dietary restrictions?

Every menu is customized: gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, plant-based, low-FODMAP, and more, designed in from the start rather than accommodated after. One honest note: my own kitchen is not an allergen-free facility, so if anyone in your household has a severe allergy, tell me at the consultation and we'll talk through exactly how I'd handle it.
